Introduction

Each weapon category in Wayfinder has a unique weapon mastery associated with it. In this Wayfinder weapon mastery guide we are going to cover how you upgrade your weapon mastery, what upgrading the weapon mastery does, and more.

You can see which weapon mastery is associated with each category in our Wayfinder Weapon Guide. You can further increase your power by upgrading your mastery of a weapon category. There are currently 4 weapon categories in Wayfinder. The weapon category determines which masteries you can upgrade and equip.

There are three different categories that you can choose from within each weapon mastery tree. Below you will find the categories and the associated upgrades.

Upgrading Weapon Mastery

You can upgrade your weapon mastery by navigating to the ‘Mastery’ section in the character screen. Once there, you can select the mastery you wanting to upgrade. Upon hitting certain milestones with your upgrades you will be able to activate a passive that will enhance your weapon mastery. This can also help determine how you want to build out your Wayfinder.

Guardian Melee

This weapon class is accessed by utilizing a sword and shield. This category contains the following weapon mastery upgrade options:

Executioner Melee

This weapon class is accessed by utilizing a two handed weapon. This category contains the following weapon mastery upgrade options:

Arcane BuildupMomentum causes your weapon attacks to deal up to X% damage of your ability power as bonus ability damage, based on how full it is. 10%15%15%, and when you reach full momentum, your next attack will send out a bolt of arcane energy that deals 20% of ability power damage to a nearby enemy that then chains to 2 additional enemies. This effect has a 15 second cooldown.
Arcane EruptionHeavy attacks have a X% chance to be arcane empowered, dealing 100% of your ability power as bonus ability damage in an area. 10%15%20%
Momentum DispersalUsing a weapon ability grants you and nearby allies X% ability power per level of momentum consumed. Lasts 10 seconds. 5%7.5%10%

Twin Striker Melee

This weapon class is accessed by utilizing daggers. This category contains the following weapon mastery upgrade options:

Marksman Ranged

This weapon class is accessed by utilizing a ranged weapon. This category contains the following weapon mastery upgrade options:
