How to Command Your Servant
In order to send your servants out to hunt in V Rising you will first need to be able to command them. In order to do this you will need a Castle Throne. You will need complete the quest “Army of Darkness” to unlock the throne blueprint. Crafting the throne will cost you 24 stone bricks, 4 Reinforced Planks, and 4 Greater Blood Essence.
After you have constructed your castle throne you can then sit on it to bring up the world map. From this screen you will be able to click on an area and send your servants out to hunt in V Rising. You can choose which servant or servants to send to a particular area. They will then bring back resources found there after an allotted time period.
Each area on the map has a designated power level that your servant will need to meet in order to successfully complete the hunt. You will need to have discovered the areas on the map first before you can send a servant to that specific area.
How a Hunt Works in V Rising
First you will want to figure out what type of resource you are after. Then you can send your servant out to fetch those resources. You need to ensure your servant is geared out to the appropriate level to succeed in that area (All of the hunt areas and their required levels are listed below in the next section)
Provided your servant meets the requirements for the hunt you will then click on the area to see the hunt screen. At the top you will find the name of the area and description. Below that you will find the recommended Power Level for that area. You will also see up to three boxes that have “Click to Add” text under them. This is where you will add your servants that you want to go on that particular hunt. You will also see a sliding bar that adjusts how long you want your servant to hunt for. This bar is broken up into three different colors, red, yellow, and green.
Adding a Servant for the Hunt in V Rising
When you click on the add button you will see a list of all the servants you own. If you add more than one servant to the hunt it will increase your rewards. It will also give you a party bonus which will increase you Power level for that hunt.
You also need to be aware of the perks of your servant. Having the right perks can help you out tremendously on a hunt. You can view the full list of servant perks by clicking here.
The more servants you send out the less servants will be available to protect your castle. This does not matter much on a PvE server so you can send them all if you wish. On a PvP server you should be mindful of the servants you send out. Every servant sent is one less servant available to protect against a raid.
Hunt Duration
The hunt duration effects the chance of injury for your servant. It also effects the success chance of the hunt. You can send your servant out for 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 16 hours, or 23 hours.
Choosing the Red segment or “Reckless” segment will be send your servant out for the shortest length of time. You can choose either 2 or 4 hours in this section. However, choosing this option will give your servant a 25% chance of injury. If you choose 4 hours you will also have a -5% success rate for the hunt. If you choose the 2 hour option this drops down to -10% success rate. The red option is only recommended if your servant is much higher level than the recommended power level for that area.
Choosing the Yellow section will send your servant out for an average time duration of 8 hours. You will not receive the negative effects like you do from the red section. However, your servant will have a 20% chance of injury.
The Green section is the “Carefully Planned” section. This will take the longest duration of time to complete at 16 or 23 hours. However, this is the most lucrative selection. Your chance of injury is reduced to 15% when choosing this option. You will also be rewarded with a +10% or +20 chance of success depending on the duration chosen.
Estimated Loot
The Estimated Loot section will show you the approximated amount of resources you will receive from the hunt. This changes based on the number of servants you send out on the hunt. You will also receive a party bonus when sending multiple servants. This party bonus increases the servant’s gear level by a specified amount.
You can cancel the hunt at any time by going to the throne and clicking on the area that you sent your servants to.
