Introduction
Learn how to pilot this magic ranged sustain DPS build in Throne and Liberty with our Staff Wand DPS Build. This weapon combination creates the “Invocator” Class.
Skills
The Staff/Wand weapon combination provides great sustained DPS and ELITE Mana Management. Below is our recommended skill setup for Solo Farming. We’ll cover more on Skill rotation below.
Skill specializations
Skill Specializations are an important part of every build. For Staff Wand DPS we take EVERY passive that increases our DPS and uptime on buffs. Below is our recommendation for Skill Specializations for the DPS build.
Weapon Mastery
Weapon Mastery is gained through consuming an item called Training Dew. Training Dew can be earned in several activities including Contracts in Throne and Liberty. Once consumed it will increase the Weapon Mastery of your equipped weapons. Below is a general guideline of how to spend your mastery points.
Stats Priority and Guardian
Attributes are an important part of Throne and Liberty. Hitting Stat thresholds can give your character a big boost in power. Below are our stat recommendations with a priority from top to bottom.
- Dex – 40
- Wisdom – 40
- Dex to 60
- Wisdom to 50
- Dex to 70
Dexterity is the primary stat of this build. Not only does Dexterity provide bonus damage, but stacking it to 60 significantly increases your crit rate which increases your overall damage.
Wisdom is the secondary stat of this build. The increase in Cooldown reduction and Mana regen from Wisdom will help you continue pushing damage.
Guardian
Guardians are a unique transformation on a 10-minute Cooldown that gives powerful bonuses to you for 30 seconds. Some Guardians work as an additional “Active” Skill, while others provide buffs. We recommend the following Guardian for Solo Farming:
- Lady Knight Kamarshea – This Guardian gives you a massive of Cooldown Speed that gives you a 40% flat increase to your damage, making both your damage and buff cooldowns more available.
Equipment
How to play the Staff Wand Solo Farm Build
While leveling, the Staff Wand build grants Good Ranged DPS with ELITE sustain. Along with healing spells, you will also gain access to Inner Piece, and several passives that will help keep your health and mana full to stay in the fight. Below, let’s look at your skill rotation.
Skill Rotation
For this build, the skill rotation can be broken down into three parts: Building, Damage, and Recovery.
Building phase
- Start the fight by applying Touch of Despire
- Cast when available throughout the fight.
- Serial Fire Bombs on cooldown
- Inferno Wave on cooldown
- Chain Lightning on Cooldown
Primary Damage Phase (sustained DPS)
Start this phase ONLY when you have 3 stacks of Touch of Despire and 10 stacks of Burn.
- Apply Enchanting Time, High Focus, and Fighting Spirit Barrier
- Cast Fireball Barrage
- Judgement Lightning
- Decaying Touch
- Curse Explosion
RETURN TO BUILDING PHASE
You will then repeat the primary damage phase when Enchanting Time and Fighting Spirit Barrier are off cooldown, maintaining your Building Phase why you wait. Then, go into recovery.
Recovery
Our recovery phase still deals decent damage with Thunderblessing. Make sure your Burn and Curse stacks are refreshed to max time before casting it and remember to be within range to apply damage.
