Greetings Heroes of Arkesia! Lost Ark May content patch is almost upon us. The name of this major update is “Destined For Destruction” and offers a lot of new end game content for players. I.E. Legion Raids, New Advance Class, and much more! Let’s take a look and see what is in store.

Amazon Games made the statement that they will not push content that the Western Community isn’t ready for yet. That they are actively listening to the community and watching where everyone is in progression. So, they’ve felt that the release of this information and the patch to come with it is well within the community’s power to handle.

Legion Raid Valtan (Normal & Hard Modes)

The first Legion Raid is coming toValtan will introduce the first Legion Raid into the western version of Lost Ark. Legion Raids are difficult team-based activities that require teamwork to understand and execute the strategy necessary to counter each Legion Commander’s unique characteristics, abilities, and mechanics. As Legion Raids are challenging and take time, there are gates (or checkpoints) that will save player’s progress as they advance through the Raid. Valtan is an eight-player Legion raid, has 2 gates, and introduces a swathe of new mechanics. Players will need to be item level 1415 to attempt normal difficulty, and 1445 for hard. The Valtan Legion Raid will also introduce a new rarity for gear – “Relic”. Relic gear can be crafted from materials earned in the raid. It provides more impactful armor and weapon bonuses, alongside bigger stat bonuses and more engraving nodes on accessories.

Deskaluda Guardian Raid

Guardians are powerful entities that can tip the scales toward good or evil. A new Guardian will arise and must be vanquished before they usher in an age of darkness. Deskaluda will require an item level of 1415 to attempt. As with the other Guardian Raids, you can attempt to vanquish Deskaluda alone, with a party, or matchmake with up to three other heroes. Similar to the rewards in the Valtan Legion Raid, players will also have a chance to earn Relic quality accessories from defeating Deskaluda.

Destroyer Advanced Class

We’ve talked about the cataclysmic impact that Warriors have on the battlefield, but nothing embodies this better than the hammer-wielding Destroyer. Armed with a variety of skills centered around charging into the heart of the fray, their hammer attacks are so catastrophically crushing that Destroyers can bend gravity to their will— slowing, launching, pushing and pulling enemies— whatever it takes to utterly, beyond a shadow of a doubt, destroy them. Dealing massive stagger damage, the Destroyer is a welcome addition to any party attempting to vanquish powerful foes. The Destroyer will join the Berserker, Paladin, and Gunlancer as the fourth Warrior Advanced Class.

Additional May Content

In addition to all this new major content coming out, there are little bits here and there to add to the enjoyment. A new Challenge Guardian Raid will be coming; very similar to the previous challenge we had recently. It will feature the ‘Scale of Balance’, so item level will not be a concern when entering it!

New Quests & Open World Actives

South Vern Activities

The Chaos Line Hard Mode, Thunderwings Field Boss, South Vern Chaos Gate, South Vern Ghost Ship, and South Vern Chaos Dungeons will be coming with this Destined For Destruction update.

Wild Wings Island

A strange new island will appear whereas the Crispy Golden Chickings are planning to raid the island seeking vengeance for eating their friends and family. Fight off the Chicking boss to earn event coins in this co-op quest on this new event island.

New Guild Activities

New PvP and PvE Guild activities are coming! Island Siege, PvP, and Raid Match, PvE, are two new features where players can boost their guild rankings against other guilds. Island Siege you will battle other guilds for points by capturing objectives and killing enemy players. While Raid Match is a speed killing event with your guild whereas you need to defeat the Sylmale Devourer as fast as possible after summoning them.

Neria’s Wardrobe

New modern style fashion will be added to Mays normal update. These will be around for a short period of the month, so make sure to purchase them sooner than later if you have any interest in them.

Destined For Destruction And Much More!

In addition with this content patch, there will be plenty of Quality of Life changes and game balancing coming. For example, the rework of the Destroyer from the KO will be part of the release of the class this patch, so we don’t have to worry about them being over or under power.
