Playtest 4 Release Date
Dark and Darker’s next playtest will be during The Steam Next Fest. It’s a multi-day celebration of upcoming games where you can explore and play hundreds of game demos, including Dark and Darker!
Dark and Darker will be releasing a limited time demo that you can play during the duration of the festival.
The Dark and Darker Next Fest start times:
US West (Oregon) – February 6, 2023 4:00 AM
US East (Virginia) – February 6, 2023 7:00 AM
SA Brazil (Sao Paulo) – February 6, 2023 9:00 AM
EU Central (Frankfurt) – February 6, 2023 1:00PM
SEA (Singapore) – February 6, 2023 8:00 PM
East Asia (Seoul) – February 6, 2023 9:00 PM
Oceania (Sydney) – February 6, 2023 11:00 PM
When the playtest starts you will be able to see a “demo” button on the Dark and Darker Steam store page. To play you will need to download and launch the demo. The exact end date is not known at this time, and will be announced at a later date.
What to Expect
There are three new features that will be available during the Dark and Darker playtest 4. These features include:
- VOIP
- New Playable Class – The Bard
- Addition of Quests and Lore
- New Secret Area
- Cave Troll Boss
There hasn’t been any details released regarding the perks or stats of the bard, but this addition will definitely add a fun new dynamic inside the dungeon.
Changes from Last Dark and Darker Playtest
Players can expect a change to class stats, weapon and gear stats, and density of spawns and spawn locations. You can also expect to see multiple item selection. You will now be able to prep a lot quicker.
You can also expect to see more customization options to characters, including race. You will not be able to adjust face features etc, but you can change the color of your character.
